Established in 2019, we are a group of human rights activists working hand in hand with other grassroots leaders and organizations across the world to champion human rights and spark real change from the ground up.

We are dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights and dignity of individuals affected by discrimination based on work and descent such as caste and other analogous forms of social stratification systems across. This form of discrimination is prevalent in many parts of the
world affecting communities in Africa (Osu, Haratin, Jongoo and others in West Africa), Europe (Roma), Asia (Dalits), and Latin America (Quilombola and Pelanque). Discrimination based on work and descent affects more than 270 million people worldwide impacting their equal enjoyment of human rights.

We take a strategic, community-first approach - partnering with grassroots leaders to build inclusive coalitions that drive lasting change. By amplifying local voices and connecting them to global platforms, we ensure lived experiences shape international discourse. This ripple effect brings global momentum back to the ground, fueling tangible, community-led transformation.
We focus on critical issues that matter to CDWD communities. Our work centers intersectionality to reflect the lived realities of those most affected by discrimination.Through grounded research and data, we inform policies that are inclusive, effective, and responsive to the needs of CDWD communities.
We support local grassroots organizations to engage directly with global stakeholders—bringing visibility to the urgent and often overlooked issues faced by descent-based communities.
